Can Unique Content Hurt Your Search Engine Rankings?

Unfortunately Yes. The Reason is as follows:
You put original content on your website and your have a search engine index crawl period of say google as 7 days, as soon as you posted a unique article or post someone copied your unique content and pasted it on his website which gets crawled daily.
